Here are a few sample projects to help you understand my approach and process.
I led an interdisciplinary team of 3 product designers, 1 content designer, 1 user researcher, and 1 front-end developer. I worked collaboratively with product management and engineering leadership to set product direction and make product decisions.
I've led teams of engineers and product designers to complete 2 projects for Shopify. I planned project milestones and timelines, organized and facilitated team stand-ups and meetings, wrote project updates, ran retros, and managed key stakeholders — all while contributing to each project as an individual contributor as well.
I have helped other content designers improve their skills through 1-1 coaching, small group critique sessions, and team-wide workshops and presentations. I work with my mentees to identify their goals, brainstorm tactics to achieve them, and then keep them accountable to their growth plans.
I love sharing my knowledge and vision with others. I've spoken to crowds as small as 20 people to audiences over 2,000. I've presented at Shopify's AGM (also known as Summit), Shopify's RnD Summit, content design meetups, and other UX events. With the pandemic, and the switch to remote work, I've switched to using video to express myself and share my work with others.
